Traveling Trunk
Description:
  • The Traveling Trunk is fillied with hands-on railroading activities.
  • Learn about the history and development of railroading in North Carolina , railroad jobs, and more.
  • Comes with an engineer's outfit, conductor's hat, interactive programs, teacher's handbook, video and Power Point presentation.
  • Meet's N.C. Standards of Learning for 3rd, 4th and 8th graders.
  • Can be used as a 30 minute program or up to a three-day activity.
Availability:
  • NCTM Staff member can provide a 30 minute classroom or assembly program using the Traveling Trunk, with a three week notice, for FREE.
  • Teacher can Rent the Traveling Trunk for one week. See rental cost below.
Rental Cost:
  • Pick up Traveling Trunk at the museum--$15 refundable deposit.
  • Ship Traveling Trunk to you--$15 non-refundable deposit, plus a $15 shipping fee. $30 total.

Operation Life Saver Presentations
Operation Lifesaver Learn about railroad crossing safety.
Includes a video and discussion.

15-20 minute presentations can be done at the museum or at your school or organization.
