Become an N.C. Transportation Museum Member

Members of the North Carolina Transportation Museum receive special benefits here in Spencer, but most importantly, your membership supports museum programs, so we can keep offering the fun and educational events that keep you coming back again and again! Below you will find an overview of the benefits you receive.
All memberships are for one year from purchase and include the following standard benefits, with additional benefits for certain membership levels as noted:

• Free admission and train rides (excludes premium events1)
• 10% discount on most Gift Station merchandise
• Advance opportunity to purchase excursion and Polar ExpressTM tickets during our Members-Only Pre-Sale
• Discounts on select events and programs, including Easter Bunny Express, Rail Days, National Train Day and other events at our discretion. Unfortunately, no discount is available for Polar Express or off-site excursions due to overhead costs to offer these events.
• Subscription to ShopTalk our member/donor magazine
• Recognition in ShopTalk as a member
• Invitation to annual Members Day event
• Reciprocal admission benefits at more than 300 museums worldwide through the Association of Science-Technology Centers Passport Program2
• Support of a great cause!

1) Premium Events are defined as any special event that requires visitors to pay a fee that is higher than General Admission. Many Premium Events take place throughout the site, so no General Admission option is available on those days and ALL visitors on site are required to pay the Premium Event Admission.
2) Some exclusions may apply. Download a list of Passport Program participants and restrictions here.

You can join or renew online in just a few minutes, while you're visiting at the NCTM (either in the Gift Station or Barber Junction Visitor Center), or by calling 704-636-2889, ext. 224. You may also print and mail this form with your payment to: NCTMF Membership, PO Box 69, Spencer, NC 28159.
