The North Carolina Transportation Museum Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, founded in 1977 to support the North Carolina Transportation Museum, a state-owned and operated agency, located in Spencer, N.C.  Once a steam locomotive repair facility for Southern Railway, the NCTM is a 57-acre industrial site converted to serve as the state's official transportation museum, boasting more than 80,000 square feet of exhibit space and the nation's largest operating roundhouse. In its support of the NCTM, the NCTMF undertakes the following programs: 1) operation of an on-site passenger train ride, daily during the summer and on a more limited schedule in the off-season; 2) operation of a visitor gift shop; 3) planning of various special events; and 4) donor solicitation activities.

 Responsible for the oversight of rail operations and restoration projects at the North Carolina Transportation Museum Foundation's shop complex, with full oversight of all rail-related projects and volunteer activities within the shop. Position will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer with a dotted line to the Vice President of Rail Operations.
